A series of articles of interest to the

Owners on CD ROM

Disk Reviews

Hi gang I hope you enjoy and use your CD.  Most of all I hope that you are not disappointed with the FT-200 CD. Here's the deal on those FT-200 newsletter. WE DID THE BEST WE COULD DO WITH WHAT WE COULD FIND. After a year of searching for the "ZL" newsletters,

NO ORIGINALS of the "ZL" FT-200 newsletters could be found ANY PLACE!

So the FT-200 operators maintenance manual which includes the newsletters were made from a copy, of a copy, that someone copied off an original....... that sort of thing. So in an effort to make the disk a good value we tried to add in a few extra things on the disk to make it interesting including the Henry Radio Service manual. The Henry manual itself would cost you $20 + $5 to ship it alone.  So figuring we have the newsletters, a really nice copy of the owners manual,Henry Radio Tempo One service manual, schematics and various articles of interest.  I believe you will find the information contained on the disk will prove to be a real asset to you in servicing and restoring your FT-200/FT-250/Henry Tempo One transceiver, as well as a real value for the price.

73s and many Thanks. C.L Maher Administrator Fox Tango Intl.

I highly recommend it to anyone with a Tempo One or who is
just thinking about buying one. I'd also like to send a personal
thanks to all of your volunteers who took the time and effort to put
such a nice compilation together.

Great FT-200/250/Tempo One CD! I spent a nice afternoon going over
the newsletters today. It reminds me of the good feeling I got
reading the early Fox Tango newsletters that Milt put out on his
typewriter so many years ago.

You're right about the quality of the copy--it's really awful! Some
pages are clear, but most reminded me of a copy of fax sent out on
another fax machine--both sent at low resolution. But, despite its
resemblance to an archaeological find, I could read everything and
that's what counts. Also, every page I tried to print came out just
as readable.

I found lots of good stuff about fixing carrier suppression problems,
and aligning the insertion frequencies and the main tuning dial, and
putting up with all the other idiosyncrasies of this VW of transceivers.

Anyway, I highly recommend it to anyone with a Tempo One or who is
just thinking about buying one. I'd also like to send a personal
thanks to all of your volunteers who took the time and effort to put
such a nice compilation together.

I've got to agree, a great CD and the quality I can live with. I've been
offered a basket case of an FT-200 and I may well give it a home now I have
a chance to see how to repair it. Great job.

Got to dash, it's alerts happening in London again :-(
