To open FT 1000MP for transmit on all bands and frequencies (General Coverage) do the following

Turn off radio,

Next press lock and fast and power simultaneously. This will allow access to the "hidden" (9's) menu options.

Then access the menu normally by pressing lock and ent.

Rotate MEM/VFO knob until you get to menu 9-9,(t-SELEct).

Unlock main VFO and rotate it until GEN is displayed.

Press Ent button, lock VFO if desired, turn radio off and back on and now you can transmit throughout all bands and frequencies.

BEWARE: There are a lot of menu items in the hidden menu that can really mess up your radio if accidentally changed. So be careful when you enter this menu section!!!
